Opening hours
The library is staffed and open to everyone:
Monday–Tuesday: 09:00–16:00
Wednesday: 09:00–12:30
Thursday–Friday: 09:00–16:00
Unstaffed hours
Students at the Department of Biology and the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science have access to the library every day 07:00–20:00. Access is by LU Card only.
Staff at the Department of Biology and the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science have 24-hour access to the library. Access is by LU Card only.
There is a terminal where you can borrow library books when library staff are not available. It is also possible to return books via the library’s return box.

About the library
The Biology Library provides resources and services to students and staff of the Department of Biology and the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science. The library is also open to the public, who can access information and literature about the biological sciences.
The Biology Library specialises in all areas of biology and environmental science. It provides access to digital and hard copy resources and databases. Library users can get help with such things as information retrieval, reference management, and questions about scientific publishing.
The library has quiet study spaces and study spaces for group work.
