About the library
The Geolibrary provides resources and services to students and staff of the Department of Geology, the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science and, Centre for Environmental and Climate Science, but also across Lund University. Geology and geography are engaging, and we are happy to make our resources and services available to an interested public.
The Geolibrary specialises in literature, maps, and resources in the geosciences. We have course textbooks available on loan and reference copies for use onsite. We also offer support and guidance in information retrieval, reference management, and scientific publishing.
The Geolibrary offers a variety of learning environments for its many in-person users. We have quiet study places in the reference room, a computer room, and a group room that can be reserved by department staff and students. Upstairs there is a space with pleasant light input and comfortable seating, which can be booked as a much-appreciated venue for events of various kinds.
The Geolibrary is moving
The Geolibrary will move to a new location in the Astronomy building during the summer 2025. Due to this, the library will be closed from 9 June to 31 August. Please visit the Internal Faculty website for more information.
